Filipino Steamed Meatloaf
Embutido is steamed Filipino meatloaf, it can be serve warm or hot. One of party favourites at many Filipino gatherings. So easy to make and so scrumptious!
How To Make Embutido

- 1.5kg minced pork
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 3 sticks of spring onions
- 6 hard boiled eggs (quartered)
- 1 pack frankfurters sausages
- 200g raisins or sultanas
- 2tbsp Salt
- 1tsp pepper
- foil sheets for wrapping or cling film (about 7inch x 10inch)
Instructions
Minced red & green bell peppers and spring onions using your knife and chopping board. Then put it aside for later. You can use your food processor if you have one, just put everything in and minced them all.
In a large bowl add minced pork, raisins and the minced vegetables then mix well
Add salt and pepper then mix evenly
On a foil sheet add some meat mixture and flatten it, in the middle add 1 sausage and some eggs lining them next to the sausage
Roll it together then seal each end by twisting them
Repeat no.4 and no.5 until all the meat mixtures are finished
Get your steamer ready then put all of the sausages in your steamer or you can do them in batches if you have a small steamer
Steam for 30-45 minutes and leave it to cool down
Once the sausages are cooled down peel the foil off, slice them and put it on a serving plate
Best served with tomato or banana ketchup
