The W family have been feeling under the weather these past few weeks and in need of a pick me up drink. I remembered I found this recipe a while ago and thought I’ll give it a go. It makes 1 small jar enough for 3-6 days.
Homemade Lemon, Ginger, Mandarin and Turmeric TeaPrint Recipe
- 1 lemon, halved and sliced
- 1 mandarin, halved and sliced
- 50g ginger, peeled, diced and crushed
- 3-4 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 1 small-medium clean jar with a lid
Prepare the citrus fruits, cut each ends, halve them and slice them as thinly as possible
Peel ginger, cut them into cubes and brush them using a pestle and mortar
In a bowl place your sliced citrus fruits, crushed ginger, turmeric and honey
Mix until all the ingredients are incorporate and slowly add them into the jar
It's ready to be served as a hot soothing drink, simply add a spoonful into a mug and add hot water. Let it sit for a little bit to infused all the flavours and it's ready to drink! You can keep the rest of the tea inked the refrigerator.
