Marinated and Fried Milk Fish with Fried Eggs and Garlic Fried Rice

 

There is a popular breakfast or brunch concept in the Philippines and honestly I could eat it all day!

The name basically consist of all the main diahed in a plate.

Bang= Bangus (milk fish) + Si = Sinangag (fried rice) + Log = Itlog (egg or fried egg) put together is Bangsilog 😂 It’s pretty cool actually.

There are other Silog dishes too! Tapsilog (cured beef), Tocilog (cured sweet pork), Longsilog (sausages) and more! It’s a complete meal!

How To Make Bangsilog: Marinated and Fried Milk Fish with Fried Eggs and Garlic Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of frozen Milk fish, defrost before use
  • 100ml soy sauce
  • Half a lemon
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1tbsp
  • Rice
  • Dips

Instructions

Defrost the milk fish before use.

Take it out of the packaging, place it in a bowl.

Add soy, lemon and black pepper.

Leave it to marinate for 1 hour or overnight.

Using a medium frying pan, heat up the oil.

Fry the milk fish until crispy and golden brown on each side.

One cooked take the excess oil.

*Serve with garlic fried rice, or fried rice and fried eggs.

Notes

*to make garlic fried rice: peel, crush and minced some garlic. Heat up some oil in a frying pan, on low heat fry the garlic until golden brown, add the cooked rice and mix until all is incorporated.
