How To Make Paksiw Na Isda

  • 2-3 fresh Seabass, cleaned and halved or whole
  • 150ml vinegar
  • 150ml water
  • 2tbs salt
  • 1 medium onions, quarted
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • A pinch of black pepper or whole peppercorn
  • Banana leaves (optional)



Place some onions, garlic and salt inside the fish, wrap the fish in banana leaves to keep them together.


Add the rest of the onions, garlic, vinegar, salt and black pepper in a pot.


Add seabass inside the pot.


Put the lid on, bring it to boil and simmer for 30 minutes on medium heat keeping the lid on.


Take the fish out and unwrap before serving.
